Paradigm6 will be featured during the largest IT fair in the world , Computex Taipei

Thanks to a sponsorship that Paradigm6 managed to grab from the world renowned esports brand TteSports, the Maltese based Overwatch team, will be featured on their partner's stand during the largest IT fair in the world happening in Taipei this coming June during Computex 2017. Such opportunities are very uncommon while being the 1st Maltese esports team that's going to be exposed like this is something to be proud of. We wish Paradigm6 and TteSports the best of luck on what's ahead of them.

MRO: Battalion 1944 Interview - dOUBTFUL

Incoming is our final interview for the MRO: Battalion 1944 Open, with our final team being dOUBTFUL. What isn't a doubt, however, is the fact that they''re a top contender for the podium. Thus, we got in contact with GibsoNNN, the captain behind the squad, to learn more about the team's thoughts.  1.) Which was the best team you competed against during the group stage? Why? I'll have to agree with many of the other captains in saying that the best team my team has competed against was definitely Project Eversio. 2.) With that being said, which player/s specifically were simply a pain to play against? For me, in general, all on the same level of skill but reed is an exceptional player and we are looking forward to play against him again! Everyone is really showing up in this event.  3.) How far do you expect your team to travel in this competition? What placement are you aiming for? We are aiming to place 1st but that's every team's hope - naturally. Top 3 would be great, but first is that much sweeter with the recently announced bonus prize! 4.) Who do you think, if not your own team, is the best team playing at this event, the team to avoid in the bracket? In the limited time that Battalion 1944 has been out, preparation for the event has been incredibly event and is synonymous with performance at this point. With that being said, the best prepared team is Project Eversio and I would like to avoid them in the coming brackets. 5.) Describe the level of competition you’ve been encountering across the tournament. Did you expect such a level? On the whole, we experienced a high level of skill and strategies when it came against top teams like EvH and Eversio and we expected it.  6.) How has the experience been like to compete in the MRO: Battalion 1944 Open? I this competition in general - no serious complaints in specific. Personally, as a team captain, it's been an opportunity to build as a team - creating better communication skills and learning from other teams. 7.) The final question – do you have any suggestions you’d like to pass on the team at Gamers.com.mt for our future Battalion 1944 events to better the experience? In my opinion, I would highly recommend that the future will have more normal LAN competition unlike this one. In this situation, where we needed to play a lot of wars from home, other parts of life get in the way in terms of time and priority.  On the whole, looking back at all these 6 insightful interviews, it's been fantastic for everyone on the whole. We had the chance to make connections with the team captains and rack up some opinions. It's too bad that two teams in particular either didn't reply or make an effort to deliver proper answers. We hope that you've all enjoyed reading them and we look forward to doing this more often.  Our next interview will be external to the event, as we'll be contacting a personality well known to many Maltese gamers - and that's the only hint you'll be getting.

Gamers.com.mt partners with Gallantry Events

Following our news update regarding Red Bull Malta sponsoring Project Eversio, we've got our own partnership news which we'd like to share with all of you. Gamers.com.mt continuously strives to organize and host the best LAN tournament conditions on the Maltese islands, by bumping of prize pools, competition, and standards in general. Making that next leap in quality is always quite daunting, yet our partnership with Gallantry Events will help us incredibly.  You're probably asking yourselves - who and what is Gallantry Events? They are not a local company, far from it actually, as they have a strong presence throughout Europe. Gallantry Events is an aspiring LAN hosting company dedicated to developing gaming communities worldwide. Much like us, they have a passion for nurturing esports within the proper and high-quality spaces it requires. In the short time that it's been operating, Battalion 1944 has been its main focus - another similarity it shares with us. Gallantry Events works through a primary non-profit basis to provide respectable prize pools for teams and organisations. Their team is built up of professionals in a diverse amount of fields - from casting to in-game editing.  Their next LAN will the be the Gallantry Budapest TUP LAN, from the 13th to the 15th of July. All the action will be of Battalion 1944 and will take place at the Infinity Esports Bar. All of their updates can be found at this website: https://eu.cybergamer.com/forums/thread/616638/1132-Gallantry-Budapest-TUP-LAN-13th-15th-July-Infinity-Esports-Bar-Battalion-1944/. Apart from the fact that it will host international and high-quality gameplay, there's another reason to be excited.  Thanks to our partnership, a spot for a Maltese team has been reserved alongside 3 invited teams and 8 other competing international teams into an online €1,000 tournament which will start in June. This spot will be provided to the winner of the MRO: Battalion 1944 Open - an added bonus for their efforts.  Watch as the competition escalates this weekend at the LAN event since only one team is earning the free pass.

Project Eversio Supported by Red Bull

Awareness is everything when it comes to competitive gaming and for awareness, one needs a source of energy. Without a doubt, Red Bull is one of our top picks when it comes to boosting your energy levels, with Red Bull being one of our partners. Recently, they've decided to start supporting Project Eversio too; more details before.  Red Bull has always been fascinated and extremely interested in competitive gaming, esports, while remaining involved in sports too. Their branch in Malta is no exception, and it's no surprise to see why they've decided to support Project Eversio - one of the largest names in the local esports. We're sure that the organization is simply ecstatic with this recent support.  Apart from the organisation benefitting from their products, Project Eversio will also benefit from some financial support based on several incentives. In return, Eversio will be providing brand awareness by spreading knowledge of Red Bull's updates and other details as a transnational company which is doing extremely well for itself.  From our own personal experience, working with Red Bull, we can confidently say that they are an incredibly sound support that provides high-quality materials and is passionate about esports. Project Eversio have a great year ahead of them.  Gamers.com.mt is always pleased to witness further support and partnership being created within the Maltese Gaming Industry, because like that, everybody benefits from a higher quality of competition and standards. We wish the best of luck to the two entities involved.  Speaking of Red Bull, we have our own personal details which are quite excited in themselves. Stay tuned to make sure you don't miss a thing.

MRO: Battalion 1944 Interview - Anarchy

Pulling through with a first-place finish in Group B, Anarchy are perhaps a surprise at this stage. Beating out the well-established names of Ephica and Pardigm6, they only faltered once with a single loss. They're looking great in the bracket stage, and I expect them to make it to the LAN portion of the event. Like all the other teams, we interviewed their team captain of Bajju Aquilina who is captaining the squad. Let's hear his thoughts.  1.) Which was the best team you competed against during the group stage? Why? We had some close games with all teams but Epicha managed to grab a map against us so in my opinion they where more prepared than the other 2 teams. We look forward to matching up against them in the bracket further down the line.  2.) With that being said, which player/s specifically were simply a pain to play against? Darkiee was playing out of his mind against us so I'm inclined to pick him, a great player with a great shot. 3.) How far do you expect your team to travel in this competition? What placement are you aiming for? When I had formed this team for specifically for Battalion 1944, earlier in the year, my main aim has always been to achieve 1st Place. Finishing lower than that is simply unacceptable - we've got a high standard which we'd like to maintain and prove. 4.) Who do you think, if not your own team, is the best team playing at this event, the team to avoid in the bracket? As the groups have gone by, Project Eversio is a name which springs to mind. It seems that they are the team to beat, even though you have to take the results in the group stages with a pinch of salt. This is because many teams tend to save their best for later into the tournament, where the stakes escalate.  5.) Describe the level of competition you’ve been encountering across the tournament. Did you expect such a level? Well, I was already quite familiar with many of my competitors in all of the other teams following many years of competition. Overall, I was expecting this kind of challenge, improving on that from Call of Duty 2. 6.) How has the experience been like to compete in the MRO: Battalion 1944 Open? We as a team are enjoying our time playing in MRO and we hope the Offline event would be as smooth as the online expirence was. Content and excited to move on. 7.) The final question – do you have any suggestions you’d like to pass on the team at Gamers.com.mt for our future Battalion 1944 events to better the experience? As I stated earlier, this event is going very well. Our team would love more of the same in the future. It seems that Anarchy is enjoying the competition - why wouldn't they when they've been playing so well as a team? As we heard in our interview with Paradigm6, here, they were adamant about the team's preparation.  We've got two teams left to interview before the LAN event this weekend. See you there!

MRO: Battalion 1944 Interview - Paradigm6

Paradigm6, one of the best teams from last year's nostalgic competition, was one of the selected teams interviewed to provide early feedback on the release of Battalion 1944. Maintaining the classic mechanics and atmosphere of COD2 while challenging the graphics and pacing, Paradigm6 look to continue their dominance in 2018. Let's see how the MRO: Battalion 1944 Open has been treating them, through their captain of JeFf Spiteri. 1.) Which was the best team you competed against during the group stage? Why? The best team that we played against in the group stage and gave us very hard time was Anarchy. Honestly, we weren’t prepared for them. At the very start of the game, it was clear to us that Anarchy got really prepared for this tournament and dedicated time for tactics, unlike us. Therefore overall they were in a better position. 2.) With that being said, which player/s specifically were simply a pain to play against? I don’t recall having a hard time against a specific player. It was a team effort, and Anarchy just performed well as a team. A game such as Battalion 1944 puts a strong emphasis on team play.  3.) How far do you expect your team to travel in this competition? What placement are you aiming for? We are obviously aiming for first place. The group stages came a bit early for us, we had several people out on vacation at that time, and therefore didn’t have much time to train with each other, hence the poor results in the group stages. However, this does not mean that we are giving up, far from it. This means that we need to train more in order to gain back the reputation that Paradigm6 always had. 4.) Who do you think, if not your own team, is the best team playing at this event, the team to avoid in the bracket? To be honest with you, there is no specific team that I can consider THE best team. This game is different than any other game that I have ever played, and everyone seems to be on the same boat. It will take more competition and time to find out who is truly on top. 5.) Describe the level of competition you’ve been encountering across the tournament. Did you expect such a level? Not at all. I wasn’t expecting it, especially from Anarchy. This tournament is going to be fun because every team has a chance to win the tournament! We've experienced a great overall level of competition thus far.   6.) How has the experience been like to compete in the MRO: Battalion 1944 Open? As such the overall experience is good, however, I have just realized how difficult it is to schedule an online game between different teams, due to work and other life commitments. An offline event during a weekend is much easier to plan out! 7.) The final question – do you have any suggestions you’d like to pass on the team at Gamers.com.mt for our future Battalion 1944 events to better the experience? I would like the team at Gamers.com.mt to host more offline events in the future, instead of online. In my opinion online events, if not 1 day cups, are a bit difficult to organise, and a hurdle for the teams itself. It seems that Paradigm6 were unprepared as a team for the online group stages - that explains why they didn't achieve the greatest seed for the bracket. Online events, even though this event is partially online, are common in the international scene and do require an intense amount of scheduling - trust us, we would know. Of course, complete LAN tournaments allow for a better connection and accessibility, though through Online play it's easier to play out multiple matches quickly.  Also referred to in the interview is the legacy of Paradigm6. Commanding a top-dog role last year, with the return of COD2, this new title of Battalion 1944 is right in their alley and they look to continue on this run. Let's see what they can pull off this event.  Overall, a great response out of the captain - we tremendously value all of the feedback.  Update - Paradigm6 have successfully beaten dOUBTFUL Gaming in the bracket to advance to the Winners' Semi-Final against Anarchy! Perhaps this time around, Paradigm6 have something up their sleeve.
